MOSCOW: Russian wheat exports in the 2016-17 marketing year from July 1 to November 30 were up 5.3% year on year at 13.212 million mt, Ministry of Agriculture data showed.
Wheat exports from Russia in November outpaced those seen last year, after slower exports in the first four months of the marketing year, as farmers were slow to release their stocks on the domestic market. Exports for the marketing year 2016/17 are forecast 5 million mt higher year on year at 30 million mt.
Russian exporters have now also shipped 1.830 million mt of corn in the current marketing year, 38.6% higher. Barley exports are at 1.676 million mt, down 37.6% than at the same point last year.
