MOSCOW: Russia’s federal budget deficit totaled 1.486 trillion rubles ($22.4 billion) in January-May 2016, or 4.6 percent of GDP, according to the Finance Ministry.
In May, the budget deficit stood at 350.36 billion rubles ($5.2 billion), or 5.5 percent of GDP, TASS reports. Budget expenditures amounted to $92.4 billion in the period, while revenues stood at $69.9 billion.
