MANILA: Russia’s grain exports will climb to 35-40 million tonnes by 2020, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said on Wednesday.
Russia, one of the world’s largest wheat exporters, has estimated total grain shipments to reach almost 30 million tonnes in the current 2015/16 marketing year.
Moscow cut a wheat export tax from Oct 1 to a level previously proposed by the government, aiming to help exporters fully benefit from the weaker rouble and a large grain crop.
