LAHORE: The government has announced 50 per cent discount in railway fares on Eid for the passengers travelling from Lahore to Karachi on July 14, 15 and 16.

This was announced by Federal Minister for Railways Khwaja Saad Rafique, while addressing a press conference at Railways Headquarters. The minister said that the one-directional trend of traffic is usual across the world on special occasions, adding, “Planes come back empty from Saudi Arabia during Haj operation. People travel from the port city towards other destinations before Eid and trend reverses after Eid.”
