Sale of motorcycles down 65 percent in four months

KARACHI: Sale of motorcycles has seen a 65 percent decrease in the last four months, due to which the government has also faced huge revenue loss.

Karachi Motorcycle Dealers Association President Muhammad Ehsan said as many as 4,000 Unique motorcycles were sold across the country per annum. He said around 4,500 super power motorcycles were sold every year, 1,700 super star motorcycles, high speed 250, Honda local 200, Union Star 600, Race 150 and Bionic 150. Afghanistan and Sri Lanka have also banned export of Pakistani motorcycles. The sale of motorcycles across Pakistan has come down to 78,000 from 120,000 per year.
