LAHORE: The Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) has sealed three marriage halls on sales tax evasion in different areas of the city.
According to sources, the PRA has once again started crackdown against marriage halls which are involved in sales tax evasion. On Saturday, a team of the Punjab Revenue Authority, under the supervision of assistant commissioner Kashif Nawaz, raided different areas and found three marriage halls in sales tax evasion. AC Kashif Nawaz sealed the marriage halls and issued warning to one as well.
The PRA has sealed Canal Orchard, Grace Event Complex and Defense Marque in DHA area. Assistant Commissioner Kashif Nawaz told media persons that department will not spare any marriage hall and restaurants which are earning in millions but not paying a single penny to the national treasury. Action will be continued against defaulter and tax evaders in coming days he added.
