SEOUL: Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo (SM-G903F) will come with a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The smartphone will offer 16GB of internal storage and 2GB of RAM. Its dimensions and weight are 142 × 72.5 × 8.1 mm and 145 grams. All the preceding specs are available in the original Galaxy 5 as well.
The revelation suggests that the device in question will be powered up by a brand new 64-bit octa-core Exynos 7580. The entire power source is constituted by a 64-bit octa-core CPU (most probably ARM Cortex-A53 cores) clocked at 1.6GHz, and a Mali-T720 GPU. Plus a 2,800 mAh battery. The battery is identical but the processor is different than the predecessor one, but surprisingly not a better one.
The front facing camera has been improved however. The 5-megapixel front facing camera makes the device equal to the Galaxy S6, the Galaxy S6 edge for selfie shooting matters.
Samsung has reportedly made important changes in the connectivity affairs of the yet-to-launch device. The South Korean company will market single-SIM supporting model as well as the dual-SIM variants, observes Sammobile.
The “dual-SIM variant of the Galaxy S5 Neo will sport a model number SM-G903FD, and might be released in markets like India, China, and Russia where there’s a huge demand for this feature,” the source continues its thorough explanation of the specifications of the phone. As the logic suggests, both the variants will run Android 5.1 Lollipop.
The news site hasn’t shared any details about the release date of the device.
