Samsung head visits JPMC to examine donated equipments

KARACHI: The Managing Director of Samsung Pakistan  J.H. Lee visited the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) in Karachi, recently, to observe the performance of two units of the latest Samsung Echocardiography machines and an Ultrasound Color Doppler machine, recently donated by Samsung to this leading hospital of Karachi.

The cutting-edge machines donated by Samsung have been installed at the Department of Radiology – Cyberknife Robotic Radio Surgery and Oncology, at the JPMC, where free-of-cost diagnosis and treatment facilities are being provided to thousands of patients every month, who come to the JPMC from all over the country.

During the visit, J. H. Lee appreciated JPMC’s efforts to utilise this advanced technology for providing free-of-cost treatment facilities to thousands of patients every month. He stated that; “Samsung Electronics is a highly conscientious corporate citizen of Pakistan, which is committed to nurture social development initiatives to elevate the quality of life for the common people. Being a global technology leader, Samsung has the technology and resources to significantly improve the quality of healthcare and education for the Pakistani masses.”

J.H. Lee further stated that; “It is a spiritually elevating and inspirational achievement for Samsung, to have donated these masterpieces of medical technology to an institution which is playing a key role in Pakistan’s healthcare sector.”

The Head of Department of Radiology at JPMC Professor Dr Tariq Mahmood presented a commemorative shield to J. H. Lee and appreciated Samsung Pakistan’s contribution towards social development. He expressed his commitment to continue the provision of free services to patients. The departmental team at JPMC is now fully trained to use the diagnostic machines very skillfully”.
