Samsung launches Android 4.4 KitKat Galaxy E-series smartphones in India

BANGALORE: Apart from launching the Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 metal-clad Smart phones here in India, Samsung has now disclosed two smart phones for its Galaxy E-series namely Galaxy E5 and the Galaxy E7.These two smart phones priced at Rs. 19,700 and Rs. 23,000 will be released from January 20,reports NDTV gadgets.

The E-series Smartphones is said to be targeted at youth and have portrayed the gadget to be ‘powerful and compact’ with good screening and selfie experience. With the India launch, this would the first time that Galaxy E-series Smartphones has been announced globally.

Samsung has stated that features on both the E-series is calling ‘Hybrid Dual-SIM’. It permits the second SIM slot to be used as a microSD card slot. The Samsung Galaxy E5 that runs Android 4.4 KitKat, sports a 5-inch Super-AMOLED display, and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor (unspecified chipset) together with 1.5GB of RAM. It features an 8-megapixel rear autofocus camera with LED flash, 5-megapixel front-facing camera and a 2400mAh battery.

On the storage side, it comes with a 16GB of inbuilt storage that can be stretched via microSD card (up to 64GB), and has the standard connectivity option 3G (HSPA+), Wi-Fi, Micro-USB 2.0, Bluetooth 4.0, and A-GPS/ GLONASS.

The Samsung Galaxy E7 in contrast, features a 5.5-inch Super-AMOLED display, a 13-megapixel rear autofocus camera with LED flash, a 5-megapixiel front-facing camera and comes with a 2950mAh battery. As far as the storage is concerned, it comes with a16GB of inbuilt storage that can be  stretched  via microSD card (up to 64GB), and has the standard connectivity option  that offers 3G (HSPA+), Wi-Fi, Micro-USB 2.0, Bluetooth 4.0, and A-GPS/ GLONASS.

Both Smartphones however are powered by an unspecified 1.2GHz quad-core processor together with 2GB of RAM. Their similarities include features akin to wide angle selfie, selfie voice command, selfie with palm gesture, and beauty face features apart from ultra power saving mode and private mode.
