Samsung now introduces Galaxy A8 for Rs 32,500

SEOUL: It’s raining smartphones these days. After the launch of OnePlus 2 and Motorola Moto G (3rd generation), Samsung has now launched the Galaxy A8 for Rs 32,500. The company had also introduced its J series of smartphones a couple of weeks ago.

With the 5.7-inch full HD display, the Galaxy A8 boasts the regular Samsung design. At 5.9-mm, it is Samsung slimmest smartphone till date.

It is powered by Samsung Exynos octa-core processor and is paired with 2 GB of RAM. It runs on Android Lollipop operating system and comes loaded with TouchWiz UI. IT comes with 32 GB onboard storage and will support expandable memory up to 128 GB.

This is a dual SIM smartphone and both the bands are compatible with 4G networks in India. Samsung has also added a fingerprint sensor to the home key and a 3,050-mAh battery.

The Galaxy A8 features a 16-MP auto focus rear camera with optical image stabilisation, and a wide-angle lens. There is a 5-MP front facing camera.

With the Galaxy A8, Samsung is targeting fashion savvy young professionals. Priced at Rs 32,500, the Galaxy A8 will face tough competition from the HTC One E9+, which is now retailing at Rs 33,999.
