NEW YORK: According to the new survey that in the United States at least, Samsung customers are happier with their smartphones than their iPhone-owning counterparts.
The rivalry between Apple and Samsung users has grown to become one of tech’s hardiest battlegrounds. Seriously, it’s up there with Xbox vs PlayStation.
And a new survey is looking to pour a bit more gasoline on the fire with results suggesting Samsung users are happier with their devices this year than those that bought an iPhone.
Data from the American Customer Satisfaction Index revealed a score of 81 for Samsung compared to 79 for Apple over the course of 2014.
Last year, Apple had the edge with a score of 81 compared to Samsung’s 76.
Although these figures only represent American consumers, it’s still an interesting statistic. It serves to illustrate Samsung’s massive rise in popularity thanks to phones like the Samsung Galaxy S5 and Samsung Galaxy Note 4.
Some suggest Apple may have lost ground to the South Korean manufacturer because of the bendgate issues earlier in the year.
Also, many see each Samsung phone as a greater advancement than the incremental updates Apple pushes out with its iPhone range.
The date from the index may provide some comfort to Samsung and its customers but the company certainly hasn’t had an easy 2014.
Profits took a dive and the flagship Samsung Galaxy S5 didn’t sell as much as the company was expecting.
Of course, that hasn’t stopped the tech community getting excited about what Samsung has planned for its forthcoming Samsung Galaxy S6.
