Samsung slashes prices of Galaxy E5, E7 in India within a month of launch

MUMBAI: Samsung has reduced the prices of Galaxy E5 and E7 smartphones in the Indian market. The phone had gone on sale less than a month ago on 20 January. Users will now be able to get the E5 for around INR 17,900 and E7 for INR 20,900. The phones were originally launched at INR 19,300 and INR 23,000 respectively.

Although other e-retailers are yet to update the prices at their end, Amazon India has already started selling the phones at the new prices.

Samsung Galaxy E5 and E7 smartphones run on Android 4.4 and come with 5MP front camera, dual-SIM support, 3G, 16GB of internal storage, microSD card slot and 1.2GHz quad-core processor. Among other specifications, E5 sports a 5-inch HD Super AMOLED display, 1.5GB of RAM, 8MP rear camera and 2400 mAh battery, on the other hand, E7 comes with 5.5-inch HD Super AMOLED display, 13MP rear snapper, 2950 mAh battery and 2GB of RAM.
