LONDON: Back in October 2014, Samsung debuted the Galaxy A series. Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 were the first members of the family, both arriving with mid-range technical specifications and metal-made body. The South Korean phone maker has announced both Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 will become available for purchase in the UK next month.
Starting February 12th, Samsung Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 will go on sale in the UK through Carphone Warehouse, EE, and O2. Of course, Samsung’s exclusive stores will also have the two terminals on their shelves. You might also want to know that as of January 28 you will be able to pre-order the A3 and the A5 from Samsung’s online store.
Samsung Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 have a lot in common when it comes to hardware specifications. Both arrive with Snapdragon 410 MSM8916 chips with quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex A53 CPU and Adreno 306, 16 GB of native storage, support for microSD cards up to 64 GB, LTE Connectivity, and 5 MP user-facing shooter. Both run Android 4.4.4 KitKat out of the box with Samsung’s proprietary TouchWiz UI on top of it. Galaxy A3 arrives with a 4.5 Super AMOLED screen with 540 x 960 resolution, while Galaxy A5 has 5.0-inch Super AMOLED screen with HD (720 x 1280) resolution. The A3 sports 1.5 GB of RAM and WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, while the A7 comes with 2 GB of RAM and WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n.
As I was mentioning above, both terminals come with all-metallic design. If you are a selfie maniac, you would probably enjoy features like Wide Selfie, Palm Selfie, Animated GIF, Beauty Face Features, or Rear-cam Selfie. Talking about camera, the Galaxy A3 has an 8 MP primary shooter, while Galaxy A5 arrives with a 13 MP rear-facing shooter.
Unfortunately, Samsung failed to reveal any information regarding the price of the two devices. Both A3 and A5 will be available in the UK in Pearl White and Midnight Black color options.
