Samsung to release Galaxy Grand Neo Plus with 8GB ROM, 5MP camera in Rs 11,700 in India

MUMBAI: Samsung is reportedly going to launch a new phone in India, there is no official announcement yet but the phone’s specifications have been leaked by a retailer in Mumbai.

The phone will be an upgrade from the Galaxy Grand Neo and will be called Galaxy Grand Neo Plus. The phone is already selling in Italy but it’s a single-SIM variant, the phone that is launching in India will come with a Dual SIM slot.

A Mumbai-based retailer has triggered the rumour by posting on Facebook reporting that the new phone will go on sale for Rs. 11,700. He also claimed he had the devices in Stock.

According to the report provided by the retailer, the Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo Plus will sport a 5-inch WVGA display, will be powered by a quad-core 1.2 GHz processor and will come with 1 GB of RAM. The phone will probably come with Android KitKat out of the box.

The phone will come with a meagre 5MegapIxel rear end camera and 2MegaPixel front camera. A internal storage of 8GB will be provided but a fraction of that will be consumed by the Samsung OS.

The memory can be expanded to 64GB using a MicroSD slot. The phone will be 3G capable and will come with a 2100 mAH battery pack that should last a day with moderate usage. Along with the usual bundle of sensors the phone will be equipped with Bluetooth 4.0, Assisted GPS and Wi-Fi.
