Sara-e-Muhajir ASO impounds Toyota Fielder worth Rs 1.66m

FAISALABAD: The Customs Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO), Sara-e-Muhajir has impounded a Toyota Fielder car worth Rs 1.665 million involving duty/taxes amounting to Rs 864,823.

On information received through Faisalabad Customs Collector Dr Zulfiqar Chaudhary, the ASO team comprising Superintendent Chaudhary Muhammad Sardar, Inspector Muhammad Umar Bhatti, Hawaldar Mehmoodul Hassan, Yaqoob Umar, Sepoys Muhammad Amin, Zialul Hassan, Riaz Ahmad others conducted the raid.

The team found a car bearing Registration No BC-9139 parked near Sara-e-Muhajir Chowk, Bhakkar and physically examined the vehicle in the presence of witness but found nothing in it. No one came forward to claim the ownership of the vehicle and was taken into the custom custody under Section 168 of the Customs Act, 1969 for violation of Section 2(s) read with SRO 566(1)2005 with Section 16, 18 of the custom act.

The seizure Report submitted to the adjudication department for further legally process.
