SARA-I-MUHAJIR: Customs Anti Smuggling Organisation (ASO) Sara-i Muhajir has confiscated smuggled Chinese cloth worth Rs 3 million from a passenger vehicle during an action.
As per details the anti smuggling squad led by Superintendent Muhammad Tanveer Bajwa intercepted a passenger vehicle near Sara-i Muhajir Chowk Bhakkar and recovered Chinese cloth from the passenger vehicle. The officials recovered cloth and asked the driver to show documents regarding the legal import of the cloth.
In response the driver failed to produce the same therefore the officials seized the cloth besides taking the driver and vehicle both into custody for further investigation.
The case has been registered against the alleged smuggler while the case has been referred to Customs Adjudication for further legally action.
