Sargodha ASO impounds non duty paid Hilux Surf car

SARGODHA: Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) conducted operations against non-duty paid car and impounded a non-duty paid Toyota Hilux Surf car worth Rs 1.6 million.

Sources told Customs Today, that Assistant Collector Shah Samad Hamadani constituted a team to curb smuggling attempts. The ASO team consisted Superintendent Choudhary Sardar Muhammad, Inspectors Malik Atif Mumtaz, Sepoy Shafqat Mehmood.

The team intercepted a Toyotta Hilux Surf car bearing registration no: LZV-212 model 1994 near Police Station Factory Area Sargodha. The ASO team asked the driver of the vehicle Muhammad Abbas Goriya to produce legal documents regarding possession of the vehicle but the driver failed to show any relevant documents.

After his failure ASO team impounded the vehicle and forward the cases to Customs Adjudication Faisalabad for legal action.
