Sargodha Excise recovers Rs 230 million taxes in new FY

SARGODHA: The Excise and Taxation Department recovered Rs 230 million as taxes in various heads during the last two and a half months (July 1-Sept 15) from the region.

According to Sargodha Excise and Taxation Director Rana Intikhab, the department recovered Rs 147 million from Sargodha, Rs 33 million from Khushab, Rs 28 million from Mianwali and Rs 24 million taxes from Bhakhar.

He disclosed that E&T department motor branches of the province are being connected with central system for which all resources would be utilised. Rana said that directions had been issued for the recruitment of new staff for which advertisement would soon be given. He said that the Excise and Taxation DG had already directed the divisional headquarters to achieve the recovery targets as soon as possible and submit report on monthly basis.
