Sargodha FIU impounds non duty paid Hino truck

SARGODHA: The Field Investigation Unit (FIU) of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Sargodha impounded a non- duty paid Hino truck bearing registration no: JU-3682 six wheelers worth Rs 7 million.

Sources told Customs Today that Deputy Director Rana Irfan Shouqat received information about some non-customs paid vehicles are plying on the roads. He constituted a team comprising Superintendent Muhammad Tahir, Intelligence Officer Saeed Hayat, Muhammad Arshad, Driver Tajamul Haq, Havaldar Muhammad Sajjad, Muhammad Zeeshan and Khalil Ahmed sepoys.

The FIU team intercepted Hino truck near Bhalwal Road Sargodha city and asked the owner of vehicle who was identified as Abdul Qadeer to produce legal documents regarding possession of the truck but he failed to provide any relevant documents.
