Sargodha FIU impounds non-duty paid Hino truck

SARGODHA: The Customs Field Intelligence Unit (FIU) Sargodha has impounded foreign origin non customs paid Hino truck worth Rs2.8 million.

Sources told Customs Today that FIU team intercepted a Hino truck bearing registration no: KWS 15-497 near Bypass Chowk Sargodha. The FIU team checked the vehicle’s documents which includes registration copy and other documents, which found as bogus..

The Superintendent Muhammad Tahir Iqbal asked the owner Akmal Shezad to show documents regarding legal import of the Vehicle but he could not produce  therefore the vehicle was brought in intelligence office.

The raiding teams Intelligence Officer Mansoor Nasir, Saeed Hayat Muhammad Saleem Anser, Saleemi and Sepoy Liaqat Ali Wasli, Muhammad Zeeshan Ajmal Hussain and Muhammad Musaddiq Ahmad.

Later the FIU team seized the vehicle under Section 16 of the Customs Act 1969 and 3(1) (3) of the Import and Export Control Act 1950 punishable under Section 156(1)90 of the Customs Act 1969 and forwards the case to Customs Adjudication.
