Sargodha FIU impounds non-duty paid vehicles, goods

SARGODHA: The Customs Field Investigation Unit(FIU) Sargodha have collectively seized huge quantity of contraband items worth Rs22,300,000.

Sources told Customs Today, that during the above said period, FIU Sargodha impounded Hino truck bearing registration number: TKW-497 Quetta and recovered foreign origin dry milk bags 3000 kilograms.

Meanwhile smuggled items including BMW car bearing registration number:  AFX-678 Sindh Toyota Mark X bearing registration number: ANR-315 Sindh, Toyota Vitz car bearing registration number UU-562 Islamabad valued at Rs13,30,0000 were also detained for not having legal documents.

However, the raids were carried out in different areas including Shiekhpura Road, Motorway, Sargodha Road, Jhang Road, local markets of Faisalabad and in different areas of Sargodha.

In the anti-smuggling activities Superintendent Muhammad Tahir Iqbal, Intelligence Officer Mansoor Nasir, Muhammad Saleem and others participated.

Sources told that Field Intelligence Unit forwarded all the contravention reports to the adjudication branch of Customs Faisalabad for further legal proceedings.
