Sargodha FIU seizes non duty paid plastic glassware crockery

SARGODHA: Field Intelligence Unit (FIU) seized foreign origin F/O non customs paid plastic and glassware crockery.

Sources told Customs Today, that FIU team intercepted a trailer displaying number plate: TLR-604 near Adhikot district Khushab. During checking of vehicle FIU recovered origin plastic and glassware crockery.

The team asked the owner namely as Muhammad Khalid to show documents regarding legal import of the items. He provided different bilties showing clearance of different items. There was no arrangement for thorough search of vehicle and goods. Therefore, the vehicle was brought in intelligence office.

Later the FIU team seized the items under Section 16 of the Customs Act 1969 and 3(1) (3) of the Import and Export Control Act 1950 punishable under Section 156(1)90 of the Customs Act 1969 and forwards the case to Customs Adjudication.
