Sargodha FIU takes NDP impounds non-duty paid Hino truck

SARGODHA: The Field Investigation Unit (FIU) on Monday impounded a non-duty paid Hino truck bearing registration no: TKL-011 Model 1997 worth Rs8 million involving customs duty and taxes of Rs2.7 million.

Sources told Customs Today that Deputy Director Rana Irfan Shouqat received a tip off about non duty paid vehicles plying on roads. He constituted a team comprising of Superintendent Muhammad Tahir Iqbal, Intelligence Officer Mansoor Nasir Saad Iqbal and Sepoy Muhammad Ashraf and Asad Iqbal.

The FIU team intercepted the said truck near Chowk Jhal Chakian Sargodha and asked the possessors of the vehicle identified as Muhammad Jan and other unidentified persons to produce the legal documents regarding the possession of the vehicle but they failed to do so.

So the FIU Sargodha team took the truck into possession and forwarded the case to the customs adjudication for legal proceeding.
