RIYADH: Saudi port customs inspectors foiled an attempt to smuggle nearly 15kg of heroin concealed in secret chambers in a marble tile shipment.
Suspecting the shipment, the inspectors at the Western Red Sea port of Jeddah searched bags containing the marble and found that many of them contained small bags of heroin, ‘Sabq’ newspaper said.
“About 15kg of heroin were found in the shipment hidden expertly inside secret chambers,” it said without mentioning whether there were arrests.
