ABU DHABI: Customs inspectors at Al Ghuwaifat border post recently stopped an attempt to smuggle 5.55kg of hashish and 1,353 Tramadol pills into the UAE.
The drugs were found in the possession of three travellers trying to enter Abu Dhabi.
A traveller driving a car with two passengers raised the suspicions of the morning shift inspectors, and they were searched.
The travellers were found to have the drugs hidden under their clothes.
The seized substances were examined and found to be hashish and Tramadol pills.
