SBP notifies new job openings in digital innovations & settlements department

KARACHI: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced new job opportunities for qualified and energetic professionals in its Digital Innovations & Settlements Department (DI&SD) to strengthen the country’s digital banking, payment systems, and technology operations.

Interested candidates can apply online through the official SBP careers portal by July 13, 2026.

The central bank has advertised two positions: Deputy Director Settlements Division (OG-3) and Innovation Hub Technologist (Contract), both based in Karachi.

For the Deputy Director (OG-3) role, applicants must hold at least a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (16 years of education) in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field from an HEC-recognized institution. Candidates must be 40 years or younger and have a minimum of eight years of relevant experience in RTGS operations, payment infrastructure, or core banking systems.

SBP has stated that preference will be given to candidates with familiarity in systems and technologies such as SWIFT, ISO 20022, T24, Oracle Financials, PRISM, and payment system documentation, along with experience in incident management tools.

For the Innovation Hub Technologist position, candidates must also possess 16 years of education in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline from an HEC-recognized university. Applicants should be 40 years or younger with at least five years of experience in enterprise application development or implementation.

The central bank will prefer candidates with expertise in technologies such as .NET, Java, Python, Node.js, C/C++, Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, CI/CD pipelines, test automation, and technical deployments.

SBP has advised applicants to carefully review the detailed eligibility criteria and application requirements on its official careers portal. Only complete applications meeting the prescribed conditions will be considered, while only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for further recruitment stages.
