SCCI, GCCI and Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce & Industryforms consortium

SIALKOT: Pakistan’s three main chambers of commerce namely Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), Gujrat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) and Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce and Industry(GCCI), joined their hands  and made a consortium, besides, signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with their high pledges to make all out sincere joint efforts   for boosting the mutual trade and export activities, strengthening the national economy , increasing the national exporters and fighting together on this joint platform for the amicable solution to their problems.

President Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) president Majid Raza Bhutta and President Gujrat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI), signed a MoU during a special ceremony held at GCCI.

SCCI president Majid Raza Bhutta told the newsmen here today that this MoU would help a lot the businessmen , industrialists, traders and exporters of Sialkot, Gujrat and Gujranwala cities, besides, booming up  and jazzing up the pace of the mutual trade activities in Pakistan’s first ever “Golden Export Triangle” comprising Sialkot, Gujrat and Gujranwala districts. He said that this MoU has also provided a joint platform to open the new vistas of socio-economic and human development in this region as well.

SCCI president added that the main purpose is to encourage , promote and facilitate economic cooperation  among the respective business communities in accordance with the law and regulations between Sialkot, Gujrat and Gujranwala cities , besides, establishing a joint “ Practical Framework” for the development of stronger business relations between these cities and to set forth the procedures for cooperation  for mutual cooperation which could enhance the implementation of reciprocal economic adjective.

Majid Raza Bhutta added that under this MoU, the signatories, would also encourage the exchange the business trade delegations, experts and economic missions and shall also support the following up of such activities.

Both SCCI and GCCI would aspire to establish and expand a direly needed “Business Network” to facilitate the circulation of business opportunities available in Sialkot, Gujranwala and Gujrat cities among the members of the chambers of commerce and industry of these cities as well. They will also exchange economic and market information, statistics and business trade data pertaining to foreign business trade  and investment wherever possible with a view to  facilitate business trade contacts and activate  joint projects. “all the parties shall also encourage joint research activities”, the MoU added.

SCCI president Majid Raza Bhutta added that the signatories of this MoU will also exchange any business trade related publications, magazines, periodical, directories, laws and regulations governing economic and business activities for their respective business communities.

He revealed that the chambers of commerce and industry of Sialkot, Gujrat and Gujranwala will also try to identify and remove any obstacles or barriers hindering the growth of trade and business by engaging their respective governments to finding suitable solutions thereto.

They will also support and encourage the exchange of technical expertise know how    and training opportunities amongst their members as well.

SCCI president further told the newsmen that there was a dire need of the businessmen, traders, industrialists and exporters of Sialkot, Gujranwala and Gujrat to evolve a joint strategy to get resolved their problems amicably.
