SIALKOT: Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) and Pakistan Readymade Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PRGMEA) have urged the federal government to ensure implementation of its announcement in the federal budget 2017-2018 regarding payment and clearance of all sales tax refund claims till August 2017.

SCCI President Majid Raza Bhutta hailed the government for continuing zero-rate sales tax policy for the five export sectors. Commenting over the 2017-18 budget proposals, he said that continuity of the policy would give boost to Sialkot’s export-oriented sports goods, surgical, leather and garment industries.PRGMEA Central Chairman Ejaz A Khokhar also urged the government to allocate special funds for value addition of the textile and garments industries.
