SCCI to launch its own private FM radio channel soon

SIALKOT: Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) has announced to launch its own private FM radio channel soon on self help basis ,taking another step of excellence towards the goal of communication development in this modern era of media and broadcasting development.

SCCI President Maj (Rtd) Mansur Ahmed disclosed this while talking to the newsmen at his office here today. SVP Muhammad Sarfraz Butt was also present on this occasion.

SCCI President said that the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) would be the second chamber of commerce in the country after Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), having its own private FM radio channel. He said that the SCCI was also developing its contacts with LCCI, in this regard.

SCCI President said that SCCI’s own private FM radio channel would be launched very soon, as the paperwork was briskly under completion and the experts had already jazzed up the pace of work of this project, saying that this FM radio station would be helpful in promoting the unique export culture of Sialkot, besides, highlighting the achievements and perturbing problems of the Sialkot exporters at the national level. He said that the radio still remained a reliable resource of faster communication and entertainment even in the remote rural areas as well.

SCCI President Maj (Rtd) Mansur Ahmed added that the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) had recently initiated another mega project of establishing Sialkot exporters’ own private airline namely “Air SIAL” on self help basis for providing the world class aviation facilities to Sialkot exporters on cheaper rates as well. He said that the “Air SIAL” would be operational in 2016.
