SCCI to organise first ever national exhibition of women entrepreneurs

SIALKOT: The Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) is going to organize the first ever two-day national exhibition of women entrepreneurs in Sialkot here.

The exhibition will begin today (Saturday) which will continue till (Sunday) September 13, 2015. The stage is set to hold this mega exhibition, as all the necessary arrangements have been made for this event there.

Chairperson SCCI’s Committee for Women Entrepreneurs Syed Shabina Gillani told that the said national exhibition namely “Exhibition for Women by Women” would be held at the auditorium of Govt. College Women University Sialkot (GCWUS) here.

She said that as many as 46 female entrepreneurs from Sialkot, Lahore and Islamabad will display their products  in garments , textile, fashion wear, handicrafts , home decor, sportswear, leather products, food items, jewelry items, leather accessories, pharmaceuticals, herbal products, confectioneries, cosmetics and services etc in this national level exhibition, being held for first time in Sialkot here.

Syeda Shabina Gillani added that the main objectives of holding this mega even of “Exhibition for Women by Women” at  export-oriented Sialkot city  to identify women entrepreneurs having adequate production and export capacity, to ensure the networking of women entrepreneurs, through Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) platform, to add synergy to export growth and to link up women entrepreneurs with retailers, trade houses, wholesale buyers and other women entrepreneurs in the country and abroad.

SCCI Assistant Secretary Sidra Shabir told that the women entrepreneurs across the country have been showing keen interest, in this exhibition being organized for women by the women at Sialkot as well.

SCCI President Fazal Jillani added that SCCI was feeling proud and great honour to hold this two-day national exhibition for women to encourage the women entrepreneurs in Sialkot and other parts of the country.

SVP Mir Alamgir Meyer said that there was no doubt to say that women entrepreneurs had also been playing their pivotal role in strengthening and boosting the national economy, besides, paving the way for the women to come forward in business line through the proper patronage by the government and guidance by the main trade bodies in the country including SSCI.
