Schroon Lake Area Chamber sponsoring annual holiday

NEW YORK: The Schroon Lake Area Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring its annual Holiday Decorating Contest for 2015. There are two divisions for the contest: residential homes and business.

Prizes will be presented for first place winners in the residential division for the following categories: 1) Most Traditional or Adirondack Style, 2) Most Creative Display of Lights, 3) Most Creative Themed Display.  Each winner will receive a gift certificate to a local business.  Award certificates will be presented in the business division for first, second and third place.

Judging will take place in the late afternoon and evening of Friday, Dec. 11, (weather permitting). Judges will tour the main streets of the Town of Schroon including Rte 9, Rte 74, village side streets and Aldermeadow Road. If someone or a business is located on a side road or an outlying part of the town, contact the Chamber office with the address and indicate that people would like to be included in the judging circuit.

The winners in each category will be announced following the contest. Contact the SLCC at 532-7675 with any questions.
