DUBAI: Scottish food and drink exports to the Middle East and North Africa rose to around £225 million (Dh1.29 billion) in 2014 from £188 million in 2013, according to a statement on Wednesday from Scottish Development International, the Scottish government’s investment and business development agency.
Scottish exports to the UAE grew by 25 percent in 2014 to £124m, placing the UAE in 8th place from 15th among the biggest export destinations. This is followed by Lebanon and Saudi Arabia, with exports reaching £52 million and £12 million, respectively.
