CAPE TOWN: EACOM has emerged as the fibre service provider with the highest average speed in South Africa with upload and download speeds of 659.33 Mbps and 663.22 Mbps respectively. That’s according to the January 2016 MyBroadband speed test results, which reveals that SEACOM’s average speeds are over three times faster than the averages of other local ISPs.

SEACOM introduced its SEACOM Business offering about 12 months ago, offering the market Fibre Internet Access options ranging from 25Mbps up to 1Gbps. Since then, SEACOM has been rapidly signing up corporate and SME customers, reaching about 60 new customers per month early in 2016. Many of these customers praise SEACOM for its consistent performance, speed, and cost-savings, with many remarking that SEACOM Business has helped their organisations to become more competitive, efficient and profitable.

Take Mint Management Technologies, for example, which reports that SEACOM Business has delivered cost-savings of 800% and a speed increase of 600% over its previous connectivity solution. “The uptime we get from SEACOM has empowered our business to become more efficient and more profitable,” says Oliver Smit, Mint Management Technologies discipline lead for architecture and quality.

“Our offsite backups used to take roughly 11 hours to complete before. Now, it takes us just 1.5 hours each day to do our backups,” said Riaan Strydom, Mint Management Technologies IT manager.

Darren Keogh, sales director at Mesh Telecom, points out that SEACOM’s symmetrical, full duplex connections eliminate contention for bandwidth and reliably deliver the upload and download speeds that SEACOM promises to its customers.

“SEACOM delivers a high level of performance at a fraction of the cost of its competitors. This means emerging businesses—which other telecom providers don’t cater for—can now compete with the big boys,” says Tim Dickens, Centurion Systems’ network engineer. The following video has more testimonials from SEACOM clients and resellers.
