KABUL: Five civilians were killed and two more injured after an Isis suicide bomb attack on Afghanistan’s National Directorate for Security in Kabul. The attack comes a week after Islamic State claimed a separate assault on a NDS training facility in Kabul, killing themselves and injuring two policemen. Isis-related jihadist groups first appeared in eastern Afghanistan in early 2015 and has become increasingly active in recent months, claiming several suicide attacks in Kabul.
In October a teenage boy killed four and injured 13 in a suicide attack in the centre of the city. Less than a month later another attack claimed the lives of nine people at a political gathering in the capital.
