KARACHI: Karachi Tax Bar Association (KTBA) has urged Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) to extend the last date for filing of Form-A and Form-29 up to December 15, 2017.

The tax bar on Tuesday said that for filing of Form-A and Form-29, the SECP had introduced new requirements such as filing of resolution along with the forms.

Further, the last date of payment of filing fee of the said form is falling on Friday, November 10, 2017, which is Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S.).

Moreover the last date of filing the said forms is November 11, 2017, which is Saturday on which day most of the corporate sector along with other institutions observe holiday.

Therefore, due to reasons, payment of filing fee and filing of the said forms may not be possible by November 11, 2017.

Needles to say that most of the KTBA members, the consultants of the companies are heavily occupied in filing of tax returns of which the last date is November 15, 2017.

The tax bar requested the SECP to extend the date for filing the forms up to December 15, 2017 for the purpose of facilitation and proper compliance of the matter.
