Secretary Excise asks officers to make sincere efforts to achieve revenue target

LAHORE: Secretary Excise Punjab Ali Tahir, during directors meeting at Excise Office, has directed officers to redouble their efforts for achieving the revenue target. Ali Tahir asked high officials to take all necessary steps to increase revenue.

The directors meeting were held to check the performance of officers regarding revenue collection and to review the policies adopted by the directors in collections of taxes. All high officials were present in the meeting.

Secretary Excise was briefed about targets and recoveries of last month. It was briefed to the Secretary that during first month of the fiscal year of 2015-16 collections of different taxes was satisfactory. Excise has recovered Rs 1.8 billion in July, 2015. Secretary directed the officers to boost up their performance to get good results.

Director-General Excise Punjab Ahmad Aziz Tarar, Additional Director General Excise Masoodul Haq,  Additional Secretary Excise Imran Aslam, Irfan Yosuf, directors of other regions, DG headquarter and other senior staff was also present during the meeting.
