MULTAN: Secretary Excise and Taxation Dr Bilal Ahmad has visited the Multan Excise office to check the revenue records and performance of the officers.
During his visit, Dr Bilal Ahmad, along with Incharge of District Audit Enforcement (DAE) Muhammad Asif, thoroughly checked the recovery records and discussed all the matters regarding the recovery with Director Excise Multan Jam Siraj in his office. At least 20 members of the DAE were also present on the occasion who presented the record further investigation.
While talking to media persons, Dr Bilal said Punjab is taking revolutionary steps for the provision of better facilities to tax payers. The department has extended its tax target up to Rs 25 billion during the current fiscal year.
He also said that a proposal is also being sent to Punjab government regarding the establishment of anti-narcotics wing to curb the illegal sale and trafficking of illegal drugs.
