Security personnel arrest two suspected Tajiks, travelling illegally to Torkham via Khyber Pass

KHYBER AGENCY:  Two citizens of Tajikistan were held at Takhta Baig while travelling without legal documents to Torkham via Khyber Pass.

Political administration sources said, the on-duty Khasadar personnel in their routine checking stopped two suspected Tajik nationals identified as Saifullah and Tawakal for inspection.

During the investigation, they could not prove their legal identity and travel papers.

The security personnel arrested them and sent to Jamrud lock-up for further investigation, the sources said.

The two detainees had Pakistani visas and had spent 23 days in Islamabad, however, they had not informed the Special Branch of their movement, the sources added.
