Seminar on export promotion scheme, foreign trade policy

COCHIN: A new Foreign Trade Policy 2015-20, bringing major changes in various export promotion schemes and procedures for export and import, has been announced recently.

The Seminar will discuss practical issues and difficulties faced by stakeholders while availing benefits under the new schemes announced in FTP 2015-20 or those present under the old Foreign Trade Policy, and to devise strategies for optimising benefits.

This seminar is intended to guide both merchandise and service exporters and importers, including units located in SEZs, on the new FTP and various Export Promotion Schemes. Apart from the recent changes, there are issues in clubbing of authorizations, set off EO & extension of EO period, which also needs clarity. Exporters, importers, manufacturers using authorizations like Advance Authorization or EPCG or DFIA, units in SEZ, and service providers using duty credit scrips and those intending to avail benefits under schemes like MEIS & SEIS or other promotion schemes are welcome to attend this seminar and obtain clarity on various issues from the panel of experts from Lakshmi Kumaran & Sridharan led by Mr. G. Shivadass, Principal Partner.
