Senate body discusses 24 demands from KP

ISLAMABAD: Senate Special Committee on the Twenty Four Demands made by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Thursday recommended federal government ministries and departments to submit its report on the response of KPK government regarding 24 demands within one week.

KP Chief Secretary Abid Saeed presented the response of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government on 24 demands before the committee. The federal ministries would submit its report on the KPK response within one week for finalization of recommendations of the special committee.

The committee met at old PIPs Hall Parliament Lodges. Committee Chairman Senator Syed Muzafar Hussain Shah headed the committee. Senator Taj Haider, Senator Rehman Malik, Senator Shibli Faraz and Senator Nauman Wazir Khattak also attended the meeting. The meeting was also attended by senior officials of ministry of Water and Power, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources, Ministry of Planning, Development and Reforms, ministry of Railways and Ministry of Finance, Revenue, Economic Affairs, Statistics and Privatization.
