Senate body expresses dissatisfaction over CAA officials’ performance

ISLAMABAD: Senate Standing Sub-Committee on Cabinet Secretariat on Thursday expressed dissatisfaction over the officials of Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) for not providing complete details of re-establishment and expansion project of Quetta airport.

The meeting was chaired by the Convener of the committee Senator, Kalsum Parveen and also attended by the Senator Yousuf Badini, and the CAA officials. The Senate body said that CAA did not adopt a transparent procedure in the provision of contracts and added the committee would review the whole process.

Member of the body, Yousuf Badini directed the CAA officials to present complete contractual details of the project in the next meeting as it was very serious issue.

Yousuf Badini said that the committee would not compromise on the quality construction of the Quetta Airport adding that its recent condition was very poor.
