Senate body to discuss 480b Circular Debt issue on Thursday

ISLAMABAD: Sub- committee of Senate Standing Committee on Finance, Revenue, Economic Affairs, Statistics and Privatization is scheduled to meet here on Thursday, Feb 16 to conclude discussions on the issue of Rs480 circular debt payments made during the year 2013.

The committee has summoned all the stakeholders including Finance Division, Ministry of Water and Power, Auditor General of Pakistan (AGP), Chairman Federal board of Revenue, Chairman NEPRA, Governor State Bank of Pakistan, Accountant General of Pakistan Revenues, Managing Director PEPCO and other stakeholders.  According to Senate notification, the committee would be chaired by Mohsin Raza while senators Kamil Ali Agha and Senator Saud Majeed are also expected to participate in the meeting as its members.
