Senate finance body internal meeting will be held today

ISLAMABAD: A very important internal meeting of the standing committee on Finance, Revenue and Economic Affairs will be held under the chairmanship of Senator Farooq. Hamid Naek.

Sources told Customs Today that during the meeting the participants will discuss the matter regarding ratification of nominees of the policy board of the Federal Board of Revenue by the standing committee on finance, as required under section 6of the Federal Board of Revenue Act, 2007.

It is important to mention here that present government had decided to separate the policy wing of FBR but till today the process of separation has not been complete due to slow implementation.

Finance Minister Asad Umar,  Senator Ayesha Raza Farooq, Senator Mushahid Ullah Khan, Senator Musadik Masood Malik, Senator Dilawar Khan, Senator Mohammad Akram , Senator Mohammad Talha Mahmood, Senator Mohsin Aziz, Senator Imam-Ud-Din Shuqeen, Senator Aurang Zeb Khan, Senator Mian Mohammad Attiq Sheikh, Senator Anwar ul Haq Kakar and Senator Sherry Rehman will attend the meeting.
