Senator Talha Mehmood inaugurates Customs Health Care Center

ISLAMABAD: Senator Talha Mehmood along with Chief Collector North Dr. Asif Mehmood Jah inaugurated Customs Health Care Center at Customs House Islamabad.

Addressing the gathering on the occasion, the chief collector said that Customs Health Care Center (CHCS) is an NGO duly recognized by Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) in 1998. The CHCS will provide free medical facilities to patients and create awareness about common but widespread diseases.

He notified that the CHCS has always tried to reach disaster/calamity hit areas in Pakistan and abroad to start immediate rescue. He added that relief operation and subsequent rehabilitation efforts initiated by CHCS are appreciateable. The CHCS has recently started working for care and welfare of Syrian refugees living in Turkey, the chief collector said.

He said that at present one charity hospital at Lahore, 28 medical clinics, 10 schools and 10 community centers are being run by CHCS which are providing excellent health care facilities, free education to the poor children throughout Pakistan.

Talking on the occasion, Senator Talha Mehmood appreciated the efforts of Dr. Asif Mehmood Jah for proving health and education facilities to poor and needy people, especially at Methi and Thar areas of Pakistan.
