TEHRAN: Rasim Ljajic, Serbia’s deputy prime minister and minister of trade and tourism, is on an official visit to Iran, where he should sign a cooperation agreement in the field of tourism, the ministry of trade released in a statement.
Ljajic voiced the hope that the Serbia would in the future welcome more Iranian tourists, and that Belgrade Tourism Fair would next year host more tourism organizations and agencies from the country.
In separate meetings, Ljajic talked on Tuesday with Iran’s First Vice President Eshaq Jahangiri Kouhshahi and Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani.
He also met with Iran’s Minister of Agriculture Mahmoud Hojjati, Minister of Industries, Mines and Trade Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh, Minister of Economy and Finance Ali Tayebnia and Director of the Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization Masoud Soltanifar.
Given that Iran is under sanctions from the international community, Ljajic discussed with the Iranian officials modes of cooperation in the fields of agriculture and pharmacy, which are not included in the embargo, notes the release.
