LAHORE: The World Bank Group, chief executive Sri Mulyani Indrawati, met Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif in Lahore. The meeting was attended by provincial ministers as well as other high ranking officials.
Shahbaz Sharif welcomed the World Bank chief executive and said that World Bank support for providing skill development to 2 million youngsters in Punjab over the next 3 years is well encouraging.
Shahbaz Sharif told Indrawati that multiple programs are being carried out in Punjab with the support of the World Bank, adding that skill development holds great importance because it will pave the way for the youth to become independent.
Indrawati praised the Punjab government and the chief minister’s performance regarding education and other sectors.
