Shahbaz seeks investment for Knowledge Park in meeting with UK minister

LAHORE: Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has called on British Minister of State for Trade & Investment Lord Maude in London and discussed potential investment opportunities in Pakistan.

According to a handout, the chief minister thanked Britain for enhancing export fund for Pakistan and said that Pakistani exports have substantially increased after granting of GSP Plus status to the country. He said that there are excellent opportunities of British investment in Lahore Knowledge Park and Punjab government is striving for progress and development of the province.

UK Minister Lord Maude said that services of Chief Minister Punjab with regard to personal monitoring of health and education sectors are commendable. He said that Punjab government has set an example by using information technology for monitoring of the sectors of public service. He said that Punjab government was achieving laudable results with regard to progress and development in the province.
