Shahbaz terms metro bus project a revolution in transport sector

LAHORE: Rawalpindi-Islamabad Metro Bus Project is the continuity of the process of change of transport culture started by the Punjab government through completing Lahore Metro Bus Project in a record period of time.

This was stated by Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, while addressing a high-level meeting held in Islamabad regarding Rawalpindi-Islamabad metro bus project.

Sharif said that the metro bus service is a splendid project regarding provision of comfortable, speedy and affordable travelling facilities to the people and will bring a revolutionary change in transport sector.

Project Director Rawalpindi-Islamabad Metro Bus Project Zahid Saeed gave a detailed briefing on the progress of the project.  “This project is a shining example of utilisation of public money on the masses.

The chief minister said that such transport facilities would become available to the citizens of the twin cities with the inauguration of metro bus project as are available to the people in big cities of the world and all segments of the society would benefit from this project.
