Shahid Hussain Jatoi to take charge as Member-in-Charge Federal Ombudsman

ISLAMABAD: Outgoing FBR Member Admin Shahid Hussain Jatoi will assume charge as Member-in-Charge, Federal Ombudsman, Karachi. Waqar Ahmed Chief Commissioner Lahore has replaced him as new Member Administration FBR.

Shahid Hussain Jatoi, a BS-21 Officer of 8th CTP Secretariat Group, has served in various key positions across the country during his illustrious career spanning over a period of 33 years. He was posted as Senior Joint Secretary, M/O Production prior to taking charge as Member (Administration) at FBR (Hq), Islamabad.  He brings with him a rich professional and academic experience in fiscal matters as before joining Secretariat Group recently, he was an officer of Inland Revenue Service. In addition to Commissioner of territorial/ corporate Zones, he remained posted as Director General (WHT), FBR and Chief Commissioner of Large Taxpayer Unit and Regional Tax Offices, Karachi.

He has also served on deputation in Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in its Economic Crime Wing   and also in Overseas Pakistanis Division as Community Welfare Counsellor in Pakistan High Commission, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He holds a Master’s degree in Sociology from University of Sind and LLB from University of Karachi. He has attended a number of courses/ seminars not only in Pakistan but also overseas including Singapore and U.K.
