Shahid Jan acquits himself well in Rs321.57m collection against set target during 11 days

ISLAMABAD: The Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Islamabad received Rs321.57million surplus revenue collection of all duties and taxes against the assigned proportional target for first 11 days of October Financial Year (FY) 2017-18. The Collectorate of Islamabad earned 63.59% revenue during above said period against monthly allocated target under all heads for October FY17-18.

According to details given by Shahid Jan, Additional Deputy Collector Headquarters MCC Islamabad, that, during above said period, the collectorate generated Rs630.03million under all heads while it was assigned proportional revenue collection target of Rs351.59million for initial 11 days of October FY17-18.
Shahid Jan told Customs Today that the revenue performance during first 11 days of the current month reflected acceptable performance against the proportional target. During said period, the collectorate of Islamabad collected Rs184.12million as Customs Duty (CD) against the earmarked proportional revenue target of Rs165.02million. The collectorate earned additional revenue of Rs19.1million against the assigned target of CD whereas MCC Islamabad did Rs113.65million during the same period from 1st to October 11, FY16-17.
During first 11 days of October FY17-18, the collectorate got revenue collection amounting to Rs322.74million as Sales Tax (ST) against the allocated proportional revenue collection target of Rs102.96million of ST. During said period, the collectorate received surplus revenue of Rs219.78million against the earmarked revenue collection target of ST. During the same corresponding period from 1st to October 11 FY16-17, the MCC Islamabad generated Rs119.81million under the head of ST.
